Cross country event
Last week students and staff made their way to Beddington Park to take part in the first whole-school cross country event. Set around the pond on the northern side of the park, the
course was a 1.1km loop. Students could complete as many laps as they liked up to a maximum of 5. We had a fantastic turnout of students, staff and parents, who all had a go at the course. Many ran, some walked, some skipped.
Most pleasing of all was the fact that every student attempted to do at least one lap of the course. In fact, over half of the school completed the maximum five laps, a distance of 5.5kms. This was very impressive as, in the lead up to the event, many students had said they would struggle to complete even one lap. However, cheered on by their peers and their families, many students found the energy and endurance to surpass their expectations. Fantastic resilience!
