Red Nose Day Fundraising

On Friday 18th March the whole secondary school came together to celebrate Red Nose Day for Comic Relief. There was a sea of red as students donated £1 to wear something red.

Johnson Class had been busy decorating cakes and making biscuits the previous day and sold these to students and staff in the playground when they returned from their day at college. Some Johnson students even donated the cakes they had made in their catering lesson that morning.

Everyone enjoyed the afternoon and the sun even shone for us! Our school’s value of charity was definitely in evidence and we are so proud to have raised £71.70 selling cakes and red noses and £40.00 for wearing red – giving us a grand total of £111.70.

There is a lovely feeling at school, it is always very positive, warm and welcoming – Parent
