Winston’s Digital Work Experience
Student, Winston, has always had a great interest and natural aptitude when it comes to computers. So, it made sense for him to join OHC&AT’s Digital School every Monday afternoon for his work experience placement. Winston leaves The Link Secondary School with his SSA, Emily and they take the train to Sutton which provides him with plenty of opportunities to practice his travelling skills – purchasing his ticket and checking the screens for the train times.
Winston’s placement has been designed to develop his life and work skills. He shadows the Digital Team and during his latest session he learnt all about Photoshop. Winston created a very engaging poster to publicise a new games course for students.
Digital Developer, Aaron Tyler, said: “Winston has picked up this piece of software extremely quickly and has a great understanding of it already. We are looking forward to developing his talent.”
We will be back to report on Winston’s progress again soon.
